Johnny Depp, Astrologically

A dapper Depp photo from StarPulse.com

In astrology, the sun, the moon, the planets, and the rising sign all contribute to the overall personality of the person for whom a chart is cast. While the sun sign gives an overall basic idea of how an individual presents him- or herself to the world, the combination of all celestial bodies placed within the screen of the rising sign, give a more accurate look into the life of an individual.
My astrology program comes with a "Child Interpretation" portion that looks at the individual's potential at the time of his or her birth. Here is Johnny Depp's potential, determined by the energy emanating from the planets in their position and their relationship to each other at the time Johnny Depp was born:

Though we may never know for sure if any of these qualities accurately describe Johnny Depp today, we can understand what astrology says was his potential.

Johnny's sun sign is Gemini, an air sign, but Johnny’s chart shows an outstanding emphasis on Earth signs. Johnny is introspective and cautious about new circumstances or situations. As a child and possibly as an adult, hugs reassure him and provide him with an added sense of security. Nurturing touch is necessary for all children, but because of Johnny's Earth signs, Johnny will likely spend time exploring textures. When shopping, for instance, Johnny's parent will find him "feeling his way" as he walks through stores.

A Gemini Sun child requires change and an intellectually stimulating environment. He will probably talk early, even if the "talk" is unintelligible – he will still need to express himself verbally. Other children will find him fun and interesting, probably also due to his great sense of humor.

Nature stimulates him and also calms and focuses him. Because he lacks Water signs, Johnny might have difficulty understanding and accepting the emotional needs of others and himself. However, if he learns to accept and express his feelings through creative and artistic endeavors, especially music, he will be able to get in touch with his emotions. Over time, if taught properly how to handle his feelings, Johnny can learn to trust and value his intuition.

With a strong emphasis on Fixed signs in Johnny's chart, Johnny is stable, stubborn, consistent, and patient, but also inflexible, resistant, and obsessive. Finishing things is important to Johnny and he will become upset if he is unable to complete a task.
The Moon relates to feelings and emotion and shows how Johnny's emotional needs are met. Johnny's moon in Capricorn in his 6th house, which makes Johnny reliable. His security depends upon consistency, and he works best within the confines of well-defined rules. If the rules are inconsistent, however, Johnny will adjust them to fit his needs. The Moon is the nurturing mother that provides nurturing, comfort, and security. Early conditioning by his own mother becomes his unconscious way of nurturing others. Capricorn has a stabilizing effect though, so Johnny will prefer to feel in control of his emotions. Though he may be highly sensitive emotionally, he will be uncomfortable showing it.

Johnny needs to feel responsible and respected, and he enjoys the company of mature individuals. He may show a wry sense of humor, even in childhood. Johnny has a tremendous need for structure and will appreciate a carefully scheduled lifestyle. Irresponsible adults will undermine Johnny’s sense of security. He needs consistent and positive behavioral reinforcement.

Johnny is probably very picky about his diet and his environment. Johnny feels he must be in control of his body. Even as a baby, Johnny probably complained about discomfort, but once adjustments were made, he became quiet and soothed. Pets may have been especially important to him.

Johnny's rising sign is Leo, the actor of the zodiac, the "pay attention to me" sign. Dramatic and filled with pride describe Johnny in his early years. He loves to show off and shine, and may often find himself (and enjoy) being the center of attention. He is warm, entertaining, and fun.

Johnny's Mercury in Taurus, which makes him a cautious communicator, meaning he generally will not speak until he has all of the facts. Mercury is the planet of communication and Taurus is the cautious, take-your-time sign. Taurus is also an Earth sign, meaning that tasting, touching, hearing, smelling, and seeing define his method of learning. If what he learns doesn't hold a practical application, he may lose interest. Because Mercury sits in Johnny's 10th house, he wants to be recognized for his intellectual abilities. His strong opinions initially reflect those of his parents and close family members, but he will later form his own opinions, though early influences will likely play a crucial role in forming them.
Because of Johnny's Mercury and Venus connection, Johnny will be likely be drawn to artistic expression and probably enjoys listening to, writing, or reading poetry or prose. He may also be interested in drawing and literature, and he would excel in public speaking. He is a natural diplomat and is probably the family peacemaker.

Johnny doesn't like making mistakes and can feel particularly upset if he feels criticized (remember all of this information pertains to energies surrounding Johnny Depp as a child – free will and experience can change anything). Harsh criticism undermines his confidence and damages Johnny's self-esteem – supportive, constructive criticism, on the other hand builds his confidence. He requires honest praise.

Jupiter is the planet of growth, expansion, and some might say, luck. Johnny's Jupiter is in Aries. He requires independence while learning and an appreciation for challenging opportunities. A born leader, he desires to express his leadership abilities.

Mars in Virgo in his 1st house could indicate a child who is likely to take risks, and who is accident-prone. He may not sleep well if he doesn't get a lot of physical activity.

Jupiter in Aries squaring the Moon in Capricorn could express frustrations through a kind of ravenous appetite. In his early years, he will think that others lead better lives than he does, and he may hold unrealistic expectations of himself or others. Johnny's tender heart shows up with his Moon in sextile aspect to Neptune. His deep desire to develop creative and artistic sensibilities is highly important. Imagination and dreams can be especially real to Johnny as a child, and his intuition is probably quite  powerful. This aspect shows that he probably also had (has) a profound emotional tie to his Mother, which today still resonates on a deeply spiritual level.

What you have read so far is a condensed version of the actual report. The rest of the report is quite lengthy and I am providing it verbatim. In any chart, while the meanings of the planets are clearly defined, and while the meanings of the houses are also clearly defined, the relational aspects between the planets blur the lines a little. Squares and oppositions present special challenges, as do quincunxes, while conjunctions and trines create more harmonious aspects.

Here is the rest of Johnny Depp's chart from the actual report (special thanks to Gloria Star from TimeCycles):

Embracing Emotional Drives and Needs

Johnny may feel that he is constantly having to make adjustments in his needs in order to get even part of them fulfilled. The influence of the Moon is in quincunx to the Sun can instill a sense of emotional discontent, like never quite feeling "full". Satisfying both parents can be difficult, especially if they seem to have different approaches to dealing with Johnny. It’s easy for Johnny to feel caught between family struggles, imagining that ultimately his needs are less important than the needs or demands of others. It’s up to the parents to assure him that this is not true!   Self-confidence and optimism can be hallmarks of Johnny’s personality. The natural exuberance that flows from the Sun in a harmonious connection to Jupiter can be contagious. Johnny likes to feel important, and can positively glow in the face of accomplishment. He can feel that the parents expect a great deal, and can be eager to please. These expectations may integrated into Johnny’s life by helping him show appreciation for the good things in life, or saying "thank you" to others when indicated. Johnny may honestly desire to reach beyond his current situation or capacities. These planetary connections can indicate laziness, and unless there is a reason to excel, Johnny may try to get by with minimal effort.   With the Sun and Saturn in a trine aspect, Johnny may feel more safe and supported. Family structures tend to be sound and respect for social rules and mores will be easier to develop. Following the established order will always be more comfortable than changing the status quo, especially if others or an existing situation clearly provide real security. Taking risks may be difficult, and when confronted with new situations he may first resist as an automatic response. Conservative attitudes may almost always prevail unless other factors in the chart suggest otherwise. While this aspect can be and indicator of an ability to form a positive sense of self, it can reinforce a feeling that keeping things as they are is always the best choice.
Mercury is not traditionally considered an emotional expression. However, Mercury’s role in the expression of feelings is highly important. Mercury represents the function of articulation of ideas and feelings and influences how we communicate them. After all, most of us are more comfortable if we can talk about our emotional experiences to someone special. A child needs to feel that he can talk about anything with his parents, and that it is okay to share feelings and ideas. When a child is not given opportunities to communicate his emotional needs, he can develop problems communicating almost anything else! Mercury’s function in our lives is to link internal processes to the external world, and one of the most important inner links is the experience of sharing emotion.

Since Johnny has Mercury and Venus connected, he needs to communicate his sense of values and expressions of love in a clear way. At an early age, Johnny may enjoy listening to prose and poetry, and may be especially drawn to singing about feelings! He simply feels better when emotions can be expressed verbally or artistically.   Johnny takes communication seriously, since Mercury and Saturn are connected. However, the primary emotional implication from this connection is that Johnny may worry excessively. Help him appreciate the realism of situations, but also encourage him to rest and relax the mind. Teach positive thinking!

Self-esteem is another part of Johnny’s psychological make-up. Venus describes the needs for love and value systems, along with self-worth. Artistic expression can be part of this emotional outlet, and this is Venus in action. Selfish behavior can be Venusian, too, and most small children show Venus through their particular expression of selfishness and their ultimate struggle to allow Venus to evolve as they develop the capacity to learn to share. You’ll see Venus expressing in a more outgoing manner after about age four, when Johnny may finally want to give something to another person. But the full involvement of Venusian development is during the teen years, when "falling in love" becomes a reality. But, regardless of Johnny’s age, he needs to feel love from others to encourage growth on every level, including the growth of self-esteem.

Johnny has strong desire to experience the beautiful side of life. With Venus in Taurus, he may love singing, music, working with modeling clay, and can develop close attachments to people and situations. Getting into nature is rejuvenating. Encourage Johnny to grow something! Hugs and closeness mean a lot when it comes to expressing affection.

The tendency to feel inhibited about expressing love and affection can be an extension of Johnny’s Venus-Saturn connection. This can be an indicator of low self-esteem, since Johnny may feel that he must do certain things, or do things in a particular way, to be loved. These self-imposed restrictions on receiving love can be tremendously detrimental to the need to openly express tenderness. Johnny may associate fear with love: the fear that the love may not be there, or the fear that love will cause pain. Parents can help Johnny by becoming sensitive to the barriers he builds against intimacy. Developing a trust in his feelings can be frustrating. Once the sexual self begins to develop, it is important for Johnny to be able to cope with these feelings without fear and guilt.

Since Venus also deals with the concept of beauty, it’s possible that Johnny will be too focused on whether or not he is sufficiently attractive -- or pretty enough -- boy or girl! Whether fortunate or unfortunate, our society places a strong value on the way someone looks. Given the media exposure children receive today, they, too, are being bombarded by images which they will try to emulate. If Johnny receives messages from parents or teachers that there is a problem with his looks, then he will take it more seriously and worry about it. It is crucial for Johnny to understand the many layers of beauty and to be taught how to accept himself with love -- even with a few flaws that challenge the popular ideals.   The desire and ability to include a wide range of friends in Johnny’s life arises from a connection between Venus and Uranus. His show of love is definitely an expression of and need for unconditional acceptance. There can be a powerful urge for free emotional expression, since spontaneous emotion is a definite reality. Johnny may be the champion for the underdog. So, if you’re wondering why Johnny brings home the weirdest kids in the school -- it’s because he can relate to them!

Johnny may enjoy group associations, team activities, and things that include others. However, there is also a need to stand out in the crowd. Johnny may also be the one who begins a new fashion revolution or sets trends. The need is to be different, and to let others know that being different is fantastic!

Johnny’s Mars shows when he expresses anger and personal strength. As Johnny grows up, the way he shows personal assertiveness will be developed.

With Mars in Virgo, Johnny needs to keep those hands busy. As a baby Johnny may be fidgety and fussy if he is the least bit uncomfortable. Toddler years may find Johnny fascinated with dexterity building toys, puzzles, and gadgets. As he grows, developing skills which require dexterity and attention to detail can be extended into sports like gymnastics or dance or art and music (or all of the above). Do not expect that Johnny will be neat, since keeping all those tools and toys organized may not be as much fun as pulling them off the shelf and putting them to use. He can become excessively critical of self and others and needs to develop patience with the process of becoming skillful.

Quick responses and an excitable temperament are a strong part of Johnny’s personality profile. With a healthy contact between Mars and Uranus, Johnny needs ample opportunity to express himself freely, but could benefit from the lessons of positive caution as well. In fact, teaching reasonable caution may be absolutely necessary! As an example, Johnny may be fascinated with high-risk activities such as skydiving or ski jumping, and should be encouraged to explore any risky activities only after adequate instruction and when maturity allows. Anger may be expressed immediately, since this combination tends to stimulate sudden, focused expression of anger. There can also be a positive ability to take the lead when courage and ground-breaking are necessary.

Johnny may not demonstrate the energy of Uranus until teenage years, since this quality is part of the expression of uniqueness, ingenuity, and rebellion. It’s usually outwardly expressed in teen years as part of a teen’s uprising against the status quo. Uranus spends about seven years in one sign, and is one of the planetary energies that identify qualities of a generation. Johnny was born when Uranus was in Virgo (1962-1969), and is part of a generation rebelling against the old way of doing things. With the Virgo credo, "there has to be a better way," this generation will be highly adept at creating and using innovative tools. However, there can also be a tendency to go too far with that fix-it attitude.

But the personal expression of Uranian energy is most likely to be seen in the arena of life most influenced by this planet. Uranus in the 1st House adds an unusual, and independent quality to Johnny’s personality. Johnny needs plenty of room to exercise his individuality, and should be given ample opportunities to interject his preferences for clothes and other "image" related items. During teen years, watch for surprise hair colors, at the least!

Another significant, but emotionally charged, generation-oriented quality is the energy of Pluto. Pluto represents the deepest reservoirs of emotional energy, and is not a quality openly expressed in childhood. However, when a personal planet or angular point in a chart is connected to Pluto, then this profound level of emotional and transformational energy is easier to see. Pluto also represents deep-seated anxieties or fears, which are, for lack of a better description, absorbed into the psyche.

For a child, it’s virtually impossible to direct an awareness of this energy, since the personal self must be well developed before knowledge of this esoteric plane of consciousness awakens. In fact, most adults have difficulty with this part of the self! Although the energy of Pluto may be felt during the childhood years, it is not usually a conscious expression at this time.

Pluto moves very slowly through the zodiac, and its sign tells more about the transformational influence Pluto will have on that particular generation than it will about the changes in the individual. Johnny was born at a time when Pluto was in Virgo (1957-1971), and is part of a generation saddled with the task of repairing the trauma created by previous generations. Whether trauma to the Earth or the individual, there is a strong drive to see the whole picture. Ranging from integrating holistic and alternative health techniques to simplifying lifestyles, this generation will also have to deal with the questions of genetic engineering.

As with the other transpersonal planets, the House position of Pluto is the area of life where you help Johnny get in touch with a need for healing and transformational change. Pluto in the 2nd House can suggest a fear of not being good enough or not having sufficient resources. Johnny needs additional reinforcement of his self-worth and may also need to understand how to handle time and things of material value. There is an innate sensibility about renewal, and this can be taught in simply ways -- like using old milk cartons for art projects. Later, he might enjoy being involved in making sure that the family recycling efforts are intact.

You’ve discovered that the Ascendant is like the window-dressing or mask of the personality, but connections from planets to the Ascendant can also alter how Johnny expresses his emotional self.

With the Sun in a supportive contact with the Ascendant, Johnny may have a "sunny" disposition! There’s a tendency to be highly noticeable, and he may like to shine above the crowd.   Jupiter in a supportive aspect to the Ascendant adds a sense of confidence, optimism and enthusiasm. However, it can also exaggerate the personality. Sometimes overindulgence and laziness is noticeable.   The extra sensitive quality of Johnny’s personality may be amplified because Neptune makes a dynamic aspect to the Ascendant. Sometimes, Johnny may feel invisible, and it can be difficult to make his needs known. Positive outlets for this energy dynamic can be acting, music or the arts.

Sometimes, planets appear to move backward in their orbital path from our viewpoint here on Earth. When that happens, we say a planet is retrograde.

Trusting inner security is a primary lesson for any child born with Saturn retrograde. Johnny may also innately mistrust authority. Saturn provides structure, direction and discipline, and teaches us about our priorities. Having this planet in retrograde sometimes makes it difficult to learn these lessons at first. Saturn retrograde may indicate problems relating to the parent who provides this structure in the early years. If this parent is inaccessible to Johnny, either because he or she is absent, constantly working, or emotionally distant. Johnny must learn to go within and achieve his own sense of structure, direction and personal discipline.

Questions about safety can be paramount. Affirmations which confer a sense of confidence, achievement and personal strength can be powerful tools. Johnny can be remarkably self-disciplined and focused once this sense of self-doubt is overcome. Pianist Van Cliburn, actor Sean Connery, dancer/actress Leslie Caron and singer Dionne Warwick were all born with Saturn retrograde.   Neptune’s energy draws us into the inner self where we dream, visualize, imagine and escape. Since Johnny has Neptune retrograde, this introspective energy is more deeply sensitized. There can be an intensified desire to escape the ordinary world and its pressures. It’s absolutely necessary that Johnny learns positive uses of creative imagination. Plus, he can struggle to distinguish the difference between physical plane reality (what we usually think of as "real") and the world of imagination or illusion. Imagination should certainly be encouraged, but in ways that are constructive to Johnny’s growth. Neptune’s house placement will indicate the area in which Johnny needs a creative escape and how he can be effective in using his imagination. Farrah Fawcett, Yoko Ono, and Ralph Waldo Emerson were all born with Neptune retrograde at birth.

Fostering Creativity and Spirituality

Children seem to be inherently connected to spiritual awareness and expression. Their joy in the daily discoveries of life can be infectious, and a child’s sense of wonder brings light into life. To help a child find Truth and embrace a sense of The Divine, very little encouragement is needed. But it is necessary to support this natural connection, and can make all the difference in Johnny’s ability to trust himself.

One of the most significant ways to help Johnny awaken and touch Spirit is to foster his creativity. It’s not necessary for every child to be a consummate artist, but each child needs room to experiment with the creative self. There are several factors in the astrological chart that support the development and expression of personal creativity.

Beyond education and development of the intellect in a more formal sense, Mercury plays an important role in self-expression. After all, this is the energy of linking ideas and concepts from the inner self to the outside world -- and back again! One of the creative influences of Mercury in Taurus can be developed in the early years by encouraging artistic play with clay. Johnny may have very expressive hands, and will enjoy the feeling of earthy materials as part of the creative process. Johnny may also like using the hands to make music, but sometimes this also indicates a very pleasant singing voice.

Venus, the expression of artistry, is, of course, an important part of creativity. This is the energy through which Johnny experiences and expresses feelings. In many respects, while the Moon represents "feeling," Venus represents "emotion" -- which is the voice of feeling. Venus also represents beauty, a quality deep within which every child needs to feel, identify and express.

Encourage Johnny to get in touch with expressions that feel good to his heart! Special talents and creative interests can include a wide range of artistic interests in music, although his favorite may be singing and vocal music. A love of nature’s beauty might inspire creativity with flowers -- from gardening to floral arranging. The sensual qualities of Venus in Taurus can stimulate expressions using clay or the creation of pottery, but painting and drawing might also be enjoyable, and there may be talents in jewelry design. However, Johnny may be a first-class cook, including confection-making.

Venus in the 10th House shows a desire to develop an artistic career, or at least have some public exposure of Johnny’s artistic talents. Approval from family is very important, and pleasing teachers may also be crucial to encouraging his talents. He may also be gifted directing the efforts of others.

It’s quite possible that Johnny will be excessively critical of his own efforts, thus restricting the creative flow and causing feelings of frustration. This can be a manifestation of tension from Venus’ thwarting contact to Saturn. However, there is a powerful drive to develop creativity, and this can indicate that there are simply obstacles to be overcome! Also, there can be a kind of procrastination present, with Johnny waiting until he feels absolutely certain that efforts will meet with approval before expressing them or sharing creations. Creative talents may be overly structured and the spontaneity can be lost or diluted. There can be a fear that he will disappoint someone whose endorsement carries great significance. For this reason, loving guidance and care are exceptionally important.   Johnny can definitely have a unique quality that shows in his creativity. Tastes will be unusual, futuristic, and sometimes strange! The "untried" is fascinating. Applications of technological innovations to art may be strong (such as synthesized music, computer games, electronic art, desktop publishing). Johnny can be creatively innovative, but may not fall "in line" when it comes to art or music class! There can also be trouble concentrating, since spontaneous inspiration may distract Johnny from completing the artistic project at hand. Part of the problem can also be that one form of expression is not "quite right."

To get past purely self-centered awareness, the expansive energy of Jupiter encourages a child too reach out and expand his personal universe. Through Jupiter, Johnny can begin to build a basic philosophy of life, and exercise his sense of hope and vision. The need to reach out and give is Jupiter in action, but so is enthusiasm. Most important, when Johnny is in touch with Jupiter, he is inspired! Here is the desire to grow, to reach into new horizons, to feel adventure and joy. While it may take a lifetime to develop a personal philosophy or explore religious teachings, during childhood, Johnny does feel wonder about universal principles, a Higher Power, and endless questions called, "Why?"

Moral questions flow through the realm of Jupiter, and learning higher principles through inspiring teachers and mentors is another outpouring of this energy. It is generally not until a child has developed some measure of cognitive skill that the awareness of Jupiter can be taught. During elementary school and preteen years, this energy begins to flourish. Jupiter is a function of the higher mind, the part of our consciousness that can connect with the Divine. The early awareness of Jupiter deals primarily with the concepts of sharing, positive thinking, enthusiasm and hope for reward.

Even from an early age, Johnny may have a strong interest in understanding moral values. With Jupiter in the 9th House, Johnny may be interested in religion and philosophy, and will love allegorical tales which drive home the meanings of universal Truths. Exploring other cultures can be an excellent way for him to learn the value of tolerance. He will have a strong appreciation for teachers who walk their talk.

Then, there is the world of dreams and imagination. Neptune’s placement in the chart indicates the areas where a child dreams most easily. The sensitivity Neptune adds to life allows Johnny to connect with the spiritual, nonphysical realm. What child is not a master at make-believe? But this energy is also an expression of Divine Compassion, and it needs special support and nourishment during childhood. Encouraging Johnny to trust his dreams, while identifying the difference between the "real" and "imaginary" world can be quite a job. But it is a very important one, since walking between the inner world and the outside world requires special awareness. There is nothing inferior about imagination, nor is there anything wrong with beliefs, since there are many expressions of reality.

Another feature of this energy is the expression of charity. A child taught to give to others less fortunate is definitely a blessed child!

Because Neptune moves very slowly, it is another of the generation-focused planets. Other children Johnny’s age will likely have Neptune in the same sign. Johnny was born when Neptune was in Scorpio (1957-1970), and is part of a generation focused on uncovering the mysteries of human psychology. Neptune’s expression of spirituality resonates through profound emotional issues, including a deep need to understand the ultimate challenges of life -- including birth, healing and death. Human sexuality and its many forms of expression is also a significant element for this generation, and the relationship between sexuality, spirituality and creative expression is powerfully linked. In addition, this generation may feel charged with the task of erasing old prejudices.

Neptune’s placement in the chart shows the areas where a child can easily dream. This also provides indicators of the facet’s of life where Johnny can feel a desire to let go or to exercise compassion toward others. The placement of Neptune in the 4th House is perfect for a child who wants to spend time in the backyard playhouse or fort. Johnny will love to emulate the activities of the family, since this stimulates creativity, and family holiday traditions can provide him with an excellent forum for exercising talents.

Perceptions of the Parents

Guess what? You can tell how Johnny is likely to see his parents by looking at his own chart! Understanding how Johnny perceives Mom and Dad can be especially helpful, since what Johnny hopes to see and needs to experience from parents forms the basis of his sense of Self.

When Johnny feels happy and full of joy, the world looks bright, too. But if Johnny is physically or emotionally low, his behavior and responsiveness suffer. In relationships with others, children and adults alike will project their feelings and perceptions onto other people. Johnny needs to experience himself through projecting his needs onto the people in his personal environment. In fact, the undeveloped Aspects of the Self are usually projected onto others as a means of "seeing" these feelings or needs manifested in some way. Projection is a key factor in human psychology.

In many instances, the other people are reasonable targets for those projections, especially if their connections are bound by emotions or other commitments. A child looks to Mother as the person who will reflect the nurturing feminine needs. Mother represents the inner feminine self for boys and girls alike. Johnny may even see things in Mother that Mother does not recognize as the way she is!

Johnny’s Moon sign shows how he perceives Mother. It makes no difference whether Mother sees herself in this light or not -- the child holds these particular perceptions what Mother needs to be because he is projecting his own inner needs for security onto her. As Johnny matures into adulthood, these perceptions determine how Johnny will play the nurturing and mothering role toward others.

Through Johnny’s eyes, Mother is serious and reliable, since the Moon in Capricorn projects qualities of structure onto Mother. Mother represents control, organization, determination and persistence -- the things Johnny needs to feel secure. There can be a strong respect for Mother.

Since Johnny’s Moon is stimulated by a dynamic connection to Jupiter, Mother’s encouragement is definitely needed. However, expectations can be a problem. Mother can help him by making a special effort to define expectations when they do exist. Johnny may feel that satisfying Mother is difficult, and might tend to stretch the truth in order to appear better or more acceptable.   Through the harmonious contact between Moon and Neptune, Johnny may have the feeling that Mother is a source of spiritual and mystical power. In some instances, Mother may personify a kind of perfect ideal, especially in the sense of "goddess-like" qualities. The intuitive connection with Mother may also be quite profound and special to Johnny.

The Sun, the primary masculine energy in the chart, is also described as a person’s sense of "self". A young child has a very limited true sense of self, and is not likely to "own" these qualities until the preteen years or later. This sense of individuality may be strongly tied to the initial relationship with Father and, later, to interactions with other significant male figures. In early childhood development, Johnny’s Sun does not express fully as an individual ego. The Sun powerfully affects the child’s perceptions of Father; if the father is supportive and consistent, Johnny may feel that his or her own individuality is reliable and strong. Johnny’s perceptions of Father are strongly symbolized by the energy of the Sun in the astrological chart.

The qualities of intelligence, flexibility and connection are projected onto Father, since Johnny projects the strength of the Gemini Sun until he can own these things for himself. Time spent sharing ideas with Dad is truly special for Johnny.

Through the Sun in the 11th House, Johnny is likely to be drawn to the idea of Father as a good friend, and may experience the greatest encouragement when Father gives his stamp of approval to his hopes and plans.

Father is seen as the great provider, since the connection between Sun and Jupiter is likely to be projected as a kind of "Santa Claus" image. If for any reason Johnny’s Dad provides many material things to compensate for lost time, this can become problematic. Father may be viewed as optimistic or enthusiastic, and Johnny will look to Father to provide inspiration and praise for his achievements.   Through the supportive energies between the Sun and Saturn, Johnny may find that Father is an excellent source of strength and security. There can be a very close relationship to Father, although there is a strong desire to be sure that Father approves of everything. This can be somewhat inhibiting, and Johnny may also allow Father’s wishes to overshadow his own desires since this approval seems so important.

Through the connections between the Sun and Uranus, Johnny is likely to perceive that he has an exceptional father. Or, Johnny may see the father as too aloof, leading to feelings that Dad is unreliable or undependable. Dad may be rather eccentric, but he could also just be highly independent. Remember: this is the potential perception Johnny has of Father! It’s possible that Johnny sees the father as a model so unique that he could never fit into it. It’s also likely that he sees the father as living beyond the limitations and structures of society, offering a different viewpoint of life from the "norm." When given an opportunity to prove his own uniqueness to Father, Johnny will require positive reinforcement for his talents and abilities if he is to feel confidence in his individuality.

The contact between the Sun and Neptune can suggest problems in a child’s perception of Father, since Dad can be over-idealized; he may even have disappeared. Johnny may see only an illusion of Father. This can produce problems in Johnny’s own perception of Self later on, since the role model is viewed through rose-colored glasses. Johnny may also expect the father to be rather saintly, and can be disappointed when Daddy turns out to be human! For this reason, it’s crucial that Johnny has a realistic and close contact with Father. While Father’s sharing of his spirituality and creativity with Johnny can be especially positive reinforcement, he also needs to show his humanity. Ultimately, it may also be helpful if Johnny has a male mentor who may be easier to identify than Dad. This does not mean that another male needs to come into Johnny’s life to take over the role of the father, but that this could be a very positive compliment to the child’s development. Johnny needs a reason to have a male to idealize. That’s quite a tall order for Father, but many men are definitely up to the task!

Then, there is a need for solidity, structure and safety -- and most children look to parents to establish this for them. A child is not capable of understanding the ways of the world, but will learn about them eventually. Nor does a child understand the need for limits. It’s up to parents and teachers to set these limits and expose a child to the rules of life. These rules, tests and structures are identified by the energy of Saturn.

There can be a downside, since Saturn energy feels judgmental and limiting much of the time, especially in childhood. Many children are anything but delighted at the prospect of being "responsible" -- that’s what adults are supposed to be, not kids!

The placement of Saturn not only symbolizes the parents, but also authority in society. Saturn does not necessarily represent one parent or another. Here is discipline, structure, and stability. This is also tradition. For the better part, what Saturn symbolizes is the story of how Johnny needs to be stabilized and what he requires in terms of a sense of safety and security.

With Saturn in Aquarius, Johnny may grow up in situations which defy traditional concepts, learning to accept and feel that this is normal and right. However, regardless of the family values Johnny learns, he will be likely to feel most stable when he has plenty of room to explore individuality within a framework of personal responsibility. Johnny needs parents who are comfortable standing up for humanitarian ideals.

Saturn in the 7th House represents the need to learn how to honor promises. Johnny will look to the parents to see how they deal with commitments. Of course, promises made to him will be important indicators. However, Johnny will also pay attention to the way parents keep their obligations in society.

The Clone Blog II

Health issues necessitate me writing another one of my clone blogs. Those issues are numerous. Final diagnoses: Pneumonitis; multiple right lung nodules, likely benign, but with no comparison cannot exclude neoplasm; left kidney upper pole low-attenuation exophytic lesion, likely a hyperdense cyst. Must follow up with CT scan in 3 months to compare.

So here I am, at home. Completely exhausted. Everything I do tires me. But I still suffer from insomnia (some things never change), so the night before last while I was awake for several hours, I had a bowl of cereal and watched a movie. The following morning I awoke at 8 a.m. (very late for me), made myself a breakfast smoothie, then became so overwhelmingly tired, I had to rest on the couch where I fell into a coma for several minutes.

I have to admit, I'm a little overwhelmed by what has been happening lately. I think I handled the breast cancer problem quite well. I've always said that nothing scares me more than not breathing. But while still dealing with the lung problem and continuing to take all my asthma and cancer meds, I've had to assimilate what occurred at my oncologist's office the day before yesterday.

During a routine mammogram, something "suspicious" showed up on the breast where I didn't have breast cancer. Whoa! Really? I decided right there that if I have breast cancer again, I'm NOT going through chemo and radiation again. The surgeon who cut out my tumor left a gigantic scar that deformed my right breast. If I have to go through that again, I'm having a double mastectomy.

And the CAT scan I had on my lungs while I was hospitalized showed some sort of growth on my kidneys. My kidneys? Are you serious? And then I remembered this lump that had been on my lower back for the past couple of years. I had asked a doctor what she thought about it, and she thought nothing of it, so I let it go. But now I know that the lump is probably the growth that showed up on the CAT scan.

So all of these new conditions were found quite by accident but they require me to get another mammogram next week and a CAT scan on my kidneys next week too.

In addition to those visits, I'm supposed to return to my new GP (who started this whole thing rolling by admitting me – thank you, Dr. Gowda – I'm not being sarcastic – if not for his quick appraisal of my breathing problems, I don't know how quickly my condition would have deteriorated). As a result of all of those tests and doctor visits, I think I'll hold off on seeing the pulmonary doctor again until after I return from Virginia the beginning of July.

If you know me, you will know this is killing me. I can't write for long periods of time, I can't crochet for long periods of time, and I can't do anything that requires physical effort without becoming completely exhausted. I suffer from dizziness and lightheadedness, which, I've discovered may be a result of my persistent low potassium count. The infection still rages in my lungs and if I could just get rid of that one thing, I know I would feel so much better.

So yes, to save myself from even more exhaustion, I have cloned this blog, which appears in all of the following blogs:

Does Stigmata Still Occur?

Stigmata, in the religious sense, means marks appearing on the body that correspond to Crucifixion marks. Except for the movie, Stigmata (written by Tom Lazarus), which aired in 1999 and starred Patricia Arquette and Gabriel Byrne, not much has been discussed about stigmata.

But as recently as four years ago a 13-year-old girl from India spontaneously bled and often awakened with blood-soaked sheets even though her body showed no signs of cuts or scratches. Everyone was perplexed. Was she suffering from Stigmata?

Find out by reading Stigmata Yesterday and Today.

What if the World Doesn't End?

Normally, we go through our days without giving any thought whatsoever to the end of the world. This year we might be more concerned than usual about it, but only because 2012 is the latest in a long line of year-end predictions that warn us of Armageddon or Doomsday or disaster or the END of the world (as we know it).

But what if our world doesn't end? What if it just changes and goes on? What if something so miraculous occurs, it  transforms us in ways we never thought possible?

That is the thinking behind the article, What If The World That Ends Becomes Another World? (The longer title was What If The World That Ends Becomes Another World?: Ideas For What To Do When The World Doesn't End.

Curious? Click the link above for a somewhat humorous take on what could happen when the world doesn't end.

Jim Carrey's Natal Horoscope

For reasons I find amusing to explain (dreams I've had), I have been fascinated lately with Jim Carrey. As a result of that interest, I decided to put together a natal horoscope for Jim Carrey. The terminology comes from a program I own; therefore, they are not my own words, but I thought that since astrology and paranormal go hand in hand, I'd post the chart in this blog. Here is the interpretation of Jim Carrey's chart based on his birth information:

PART ONE: THE INNER YOU
In Part One of the interpretations you will read two sections concerned with your individual traits.

The first section describes your ego (sun), emotional make-up (moon), learning and intellectual orientation (Mercury), relationships and sociability (Venus), and the expression and focus of your physical energy (Mars).

The second section describes how well you deal internally with the external situations that you experience in life. Your capacity for happiness (Jupiter), ability to tolerate restrictions and frustrations (Saturn), how you are associated with or relate to new or innovative ideas and methods, and radical ideas and events that upset the status quo (Uranus), how you are associated with or affected by public ideals, morality, and spirituality (Neptune), and how you are associated with or affected by public policies toward crime, toward the power of government and industry, and toward exploration, development, conservation and distribution of natural resources (Pluto).

SUN
The sun rules will power and ego. It is the core of your potential and uniqueness as an individual; who you are and what you are about. It represents the main direction and focus you want your life to take, and your determination to accomplish what you set out to do. It is your personal honesty and integrity, and the ability to command respect and authority, to impress and influence others.

SUN in CAPRICORN
As the tenth sign of the zodiac, Capricorn represents the tenth stage in the evolution of man and his place in the universe. Having gained power and control through emotions and knowledge in Scorpio and Sagittarius, Capricorn seeks control by virtue of authority. All authority is given its control by rules and regulations which civilized society accepts and with which they must comply in order to progress. For all their concern with legality or the propriety of things, Capricorns can be guilty of making or enforcing rules they themselves do not follow. Blinded by their own ambition, and obsessed with their goals, they adopt the philosophy that the end justifies the means.

Capricorns are doers. They set out to accomplish things and are determined to succeed one way or another. By nature they are executives and managers. Ambitious, pragmatic, and goal-oriented, they learn how to get things done. The mountain goat is an appropriate astrological symbol for this sign since a sure-footed, methodical climb to the top is the main goal of Capricorn individuals. They aspire to positions of power and authority, and they admire others who attain such positions. Initiative and willingness to accept responsibilities are keys to their success. Wanting to be admired and respected, they do not want to appear weak or ineffective. This false pride makes it hard for them to admit when they are wrong or to ask others for help. Though they aggressively compete for what they want with apparent sureness, they harbor inner lack of confidence which makes them defensive. Viewing insecurity and fear as weaknesses, they attempt to hide such feelings, making it hard for others to get close to them. As children they have unusual maturity. They are in a hurry to participate in the adult world and often get along better with older children and adults than with their peers.

Capricorns react to what they experience by assessing its possible worth. Before they take physical action, before they sort out their emotional involvement, and before they reason it out intellectually, they must ascertain what tangible advantages are to be gained from the experience. They gladly work long and hard if it means getting what or who they want. They can be very lazy if they see no sense in working, or if they can achieve the same goals in a less strenuous manner. They have a good sense of humor but will not tolerate being ridiculed or teased on a personal level. Those who set out to so abuse a Capricorn, will soon learn the error of their ways.

Saturn, planet of structure and reality, is the ruler of Capricorn, which means that Capricorns need to know and understand limits in all areas of life. Early in life they should be taught traditional values, rules and regulations, and proper thought and behavior. Even if they reject these things later, it allows them to develop and focus on specific goals. Without the structure of rules, restrictions, and values to guide them up the mountain toward their goals, they lose their way. Ambition and enthusiasm fade. Knowing the rules and regulations and the way that society is structured makes them feel they understand the reality of life. And for Capricorn, once the reality of something is understood, it is much easier to handle and manipulate. This approach makes them good builders, engineers, politicians, lawyers, and business executives. Capricorns often look older or more mature when they are young. However, when they reach middle age the reverse occurs. They seem to defy the aging process, and retain a remarkably youthful appearance well into old age.

Capricorns usually do not have a predisposition to be fat. Good dietary habits in their youth tend to stay with them as adults. Their innate spirit of competition makes them enthusiastic sportsmen. They can be so aggressively determined to win, it is difficult for them to be gracious when they lose. They make good team players as well as good team managers. Jogging, running (especially cross-country), golf, skating, hunting, wrestling, boxing, martial arts, and body-building are favorite activities. They also favor gun collecting, perhaps because guns are undeniable symbols of authority.

Capricorn colors are chocolate brown, royal and navy blue, dark green, charcoal gray, and red. Vulnerable parts of the body are the bones and joints (especially the knees), teeth, and skin. Though sensitive skin, allergies, and broken bones are their most likely complaints, worrying too much can also result in physical problems. The garnet is Capricorn's birthstone. This gemstone is believed to keep its wearers from accidents and falls. In some ancient societies garnets were worn only by royalty. Capricorn flowers include the camellia, orange blossom, carnation (red), baby's breath, and magnolia.

MOON
The moon rules desire as opposed to ego, need as opposed to expediency or reason. It describes how you feel about yourself, how you handle relationships, and how you emotionally respond to situations and experiences. It describes the flow of your daily functions; physical, emotional, and mental. The moon represents your residence and domestic environment. It rules babies and young children, your mother and other important females in your life.

MOON in GEMINI
Those born with the moon in an Air sign usually respond to situations in a way they think should fit the facts, that is, they act in a way they think others expect them to act, or they imitate the same behavior as others. This gives them the appearance of emotional coolness or non-involvement. Before turning a situation into a physical experience, and before considering the stability or practicality of the thing, or even how they may really feel about it, they tend to do and say what seems appropriate as if it were not really happening to them. In spite of what appears to be their analytical detachment, most of them are loving and loyal in relationships. As lunar Air sign personalities, those with moon in Gemini can sometimes take their intellectual approach too far. Constant analyzing, rationalization, and acting as though they had already experienced something instead of just thinking or talking about it, can prevent them from ever doing it. They are talkative, mentally alert, and curious about everything. Always looking for some kind of intellectual stimulation, they get bored by repetitive tasks and the same environment day after day. Attracted by intrigue and idle gossip, they pay too much attention to what everyone else is doing. Restless and impatient, they do not always take time to get all the facts before repeating things. As eager to share information as they are to receive it, many of them are talented teachers, writers, and communicators of one sort or another.

Gemini moon personalities are emotionally adaptable. A dual-natured flexibility allows them to say or do one thing with apparent ease, even though what they really think and feel may be quite different. They instinctively understand what others want to hear and what to do to please them, but they don't always know how to make themselves happy. Though quite willing to discuss others, they can be secretive about themselves. Their outer personality may be bright and optimistic but they can harbor inner feelings of loneliness. Moon in Gemini personalities love secrets and solving puzzles. They have highly sensitive nervous systems and, in order to maintain proper physical and mental health, they need to be given varied tasks and opportunities for frequent change of scene or alterations in their daily routine.

Women with Gemini moon are talented with their hands. Though efficient and organized, a certain restlessness makes it difficult for them to remain content with household chores. Men with Gemini moon are quite charming but their temperaments are not particularly suited to sustained passion in themselves or tolerating emotional hysteria in others.

MERCURY
Mercury indicates mental outlook, intellectual endeavors, the way you think and communicate. It represents ideas, methods, and information. It rules your hands and thus your manual dexterity and mechanical skills. Mercury also describes transportation; that is, how you get where you're going physically and mentally. Do you speed with all possible haste or amble along taking a few detours here and there?

MERCURY in AQUARIUS
Those with natal Mercury in Aquarius have a curious, but usually compatible, mixture of characteristics associated with their thoughts and ideas and the expression of those ideas. These individuals are stimulated by unusual or unorthodox methods and ideas, which they are often successful at fitting into traditional systems. They have respect for tradition, but are also able to express traditional ideas in an avant-garde or unorthodox manner. They can be very stubborn and opinionated, while at the same time maintain liberal, unbiased attitudes. They are inclined toward design, architecture, science, finance, and, in some cases, music or literature. In the matter of learning and transportation, they can be unpredictable and, at times, highly original and unique. Whatever they do, they always seem to wittingly or unwittingly attract a crowd.

VENUS
Venus rules your social attitudes and behavior, and your aesthetic tastes and inclinations. It is female relationships and social interactions at every level. Venus indicates your values. It describes romance, marriage and other partnerships, capacity for humor, and the pursuit of pleasure.

VENUS in CAPRICORN
These individuals are apt to exhibit the restrictive influence of Capricorn in dealing with romantic entanglements. Nor can their social attitudes and behavior be described as very glib or spontaneous. Though it may not be their intention to do so, they may appear brusque or abrupt when dealing with those they do not know well. In spite of this, most of them enjoy social gatherings. A cautious nature makes them feel more comfortable in relationships and social situations that are formal, purposeful, and to some extent, calculated. This type of approach helps remove the possibility of personal rejection which is something they wish to avoid at all costs. No matter how easy-going or strong their outer personality may appear, it is likely that underneath they may feel insecure. Consciously or subconsciously they want to make some practical use of their associations.

MARS
Mars rules physical energy and efforts. It describes the strength and direction of the physical force that drives your ego, fires your emotions, and encourages your mental endeavors and communicative skills. It describes male relationships and associations, risk-taking inclinations, and the physical challenges you are likely to encounter.

MARS in CAPRICORN
Individuals with Mars in Capricorn are aggressively ambitious. They act more decisively and with greater confidence when they are acting within the limits of what is legally and socially acceptable. They are also more effective when they know they are being observed, and when they know that what they are doing commands respect. Rejection in business or romance is not something they accept easily, and they continue to relentlessly pursue their goals in any way they think will work. The influence of Capricorn may mean a certain ruthlessness in their nature, but that is what it takes to succeed in the fiercely competitive situations they pursue. These individuals are often the ones responsible for bringing about greatly needed changes, and establishing institutions and structures that ultimately benefit many people other than themselves.

JUPITER
Jupiter rules your potential for growth and expansion on many levels; physical, intellectual, spiritual, cultural, and the accumulation of material assets, power, and status. It describes your optimism and aspirations. It represents your father and his position in society.

JUPITER in AQUARIUS
Individuals with natal Jupiter in Aquarius can operate efficiently within traditional ideas and institutions, while at the same time be receptive to ideas and activities which seem fantastic or bizarre to other people. Indeed, they are apt to experience their greatest personal progress and growth by successfully dealing with situations that involve rebelling against tradition or the established order. These individuals are likely to possess extremely broad-minded social attitudes. They can be effective catalysts within various organizations and groups.

SATURN
Saturn rules responsibilities, restrictions and limitations you are apt to encounter, and the lessons you must learn in life. It does not deny or diminish imagination, inspiration, spirituality, and good fortune but it does demand that these things be given structure and meaning.

SATURN in AQUARIUS
Individuals with natal Saturn in Aquarius are confronted with situations that in order to be successful need organization, dedication and stability, yet must also have room for freedom and original thinking. Somehow they have to effectively deal with the conflict between control and non-control. They are responsible for wise use of freedom, as well as accepting (or imposing) the rigidity of organization and discipline that are also necessary if anything is to be accomplished.

URANUS
Uranus rules personal as well as societal freedom. It indicates originality of thought and expression. In society it rules radical ideas and people as well as revolutionary events that upset established structures. Uranus takes approximately seven years to transit one sign, taking about 84 years to complete all twelve signs. Since groups of people with Uranus in the same sign are separated by 84 years, the influence of this planet in a sign is generational. The personal implications of Uranus in your life are described by its house position and the aspects it makes with other planets in your natal chart. It describes areas of unpredictability, and where you or your life style may be different than those around you. It relates to the unusual or unique. Friends and associations to which you belong are also indicated, as is your potential involvement with science and technology, computers, and the media.

URANUS in LEO
The generation of individuals born with natal Uranus in Leo are likely to be involved in the creative arts. They introduce their ideas with innovative flair and great boldness in defiance of traditional concepts. Leo is also associated with scientific research and humanitarian gestures, so these individuals may also be expected to attack old problems with new energy, ideas and methods.

NEPTUNE
Neptune rules those who are oppressed or abandoned; the misfits of society. On a higher level it rules visionaries, and those who are glamorous and charismatic. It represents spirituality, mysticism, and ideals. Neptune is in one sign for approximately thirteen years, taking about 164 years to complete its cycle through all twelve signs. Since 164 years separate people born during its transit of one sign and those born when it returns, Neptune's significance in any sign is described as generational or historical. On a personal level, Neptune's house position and the aspects it makes with other planets in your natal chart will describe spirituality, abstract thinking, illusion, disillusionment, and other areas of your life where things aren't always what they seem. It rules derangement, guilt, persecution, and describes the potential for experiences related to confinement, abandonment, and addiction or physical intolerance to drugs.

NEPTUNE in SCORPIO
The latest period of Neptune in Scorpio was 1955-1970 and the influence of Neptune in Scorpio had observable impact. Sexual codes (Scorpio) prior to the 60's dissolved (a Neptunian influence). Sexually explicit material invaded the media and everyday life. Drugs and creation of a counter-culture eroded the family and traditional values (Neptune). Spying and secret surveillance (Scorpio) in public and private life were evident in fact and fiction.

PLUTO
Pluto takes approximately 248 years to make one cycle through all twelve signs. The period Pluto spends in each sign can vary from twelve years to thirty two years due to the eccentricity of its orbit. Like atomic energy (a force ruled by Pluto), the presence and direction of Pluto's energy are never obvious until it is used. Pluto’s influence in any sign is interpreted as generational or historical. In your personal life, Pluto's significance is interpreted from its house position and the aspects it makes to other natal planets in your horoscope. Pluto rules intense energy, and describes the areas in which you consciously or subconsciously seek to exercise power or control. Pluto is also linked to your karmic responsibility, and in this respect, it describes the areas where you must gain the deepest level of understanding.

PLUTO in VIRGO
Pluto's last period in Virgo was 1957-1971. Virgo rules health, practical applications of science and technology, and the work force. During the recent Pluto transit in Virgo, the general state of America's health and welfare underwent unprecedented changes, computers came of age, and the once powerful unions experienced great loss of influence.

PART TWO: THE OUTER YOU
In Part Two you will read about the twelve houses of the horoscope. The houses represent areas of life in which you operate on a daily basis. You will read descriptions of how you handle the circumstances you encounter in each of these areas, according to your nature, personality and other traits as they are outlined in Part One.

HOUSE 1
The first house and the sign that rules the first house, which is also known as the Ascendant or Rising sign, describes your outer personality and physical attributes. To some extent it also describes your health and the type of illnesses you may experience.

SCORPIO ASCENDANT
A Scorpio Ascendant indicates individuals who are likely to have strong physiques and tremendous physical stamina. They are often far more stubborn than they seem on the surface, and assiduously stick to their goals as long as they feel there is a chance they will be successful. It is difficult to convince them to change their minds once their decisions are made.

They are emotionally oriented, but their emotional vulnerability is apt to be hidden unless their natal sun or moon happens to be in Cancer or Pisces. They are are friendly and while some are rather quiet, many of them also have far more gregarious personalities and don't mind being in the spotlight. Rarely do these individuals possess the sinister or mysterious personalities that popular literature tends to associate with the sign of Scorpio. They are keen observers and shrewd speculators.

Scorpio is ruled by Pluto and, secondarily, by this sign's ancient ruler, the planet Mars. Both planetary influences may be seen in the personalities of these individuals. They are ambitious, energetic, and seek activities that are economically rewarding, as well as mentally or physically challenging. The jealousy associated with Mars and Pluto is minimal unless other factors in their individual personalities support such a trait. Many of them possess the cleverness and mechanical ability associated with Mars, as well as the innate resourcefulness associated with Pluto. They are attracted to others with strong, magnetic personalities. They are oriented toward gathering resources of all kinds. For example, many of these individuals consciously or subconsciously tend to establish relationships with strong or powerful people in the belief such contacts may prove useful to them in some way. They can be quite secretive about personal affairs, a trait that often escapes the attention of most people they meet. They are often so accommodating and pleasant that, unless others make serious attempts to probe beneath their surface, their real personalities and activities stay hidden indefinitely.

They have remarkable recuperative powers that allow them to recover from physical, mental or economic adversities that would destroy many others. When properly focused, their energy is formidable and they quietly keep going long after everyone else runs out of steam. A Scorpio Ascendant indicates potential for afflictions to the head and face as well as illnesses affecting the reproductive organs.

HOUSE 2
The second house describes material assets, how you handle monetary income, and the potential ways it may be earned. It also indicates the values and priorities you establish throughout life.

SAGITTARIUS on 2nd HOUSE
Sagittarius ruling the second house indicates those who would very much like to succeed on their own. They may work for others but would rather work for themselves. They value independence, especially in monetary matters, and will thrive on the challenge involved in making their own fortunes. The Sagittarian influence is no guarantee they will end up being self-employed, or that even those who are self-employed will be successful. It is however, an indication that their income may be derived through travel or trade in foreign goods and services, consulting, publishing, theater, education, sports, or religion. The negative potential of Sagittarius ruling the second house, includes the possibility of individuals who marry strictly for monetary gain or acquire money or property through dishonest means, or individuals who become victims of such circumstances. The influence of Sagittarius does not necessarily imply great wealth or luck in monetary matters or inhibit the opportunity for it. But there is implication that these individuals are very generous with the potential tendency to spend great sums of money and to waste money as well as other resources.

MARS in 2nd HOUSE
Mars in the second house indicates those who exert more energy and enthusiasm in what they do to earn money than in the actual pursuit of money for its own sake. They are apt to be more enthusiastic spenders than savers. If they do develop the love of wealth for its own sake, they can become so passionately dedicated to the accumulation of money, they never stop to spend it or enjoy any of the advantages it can provide. The influence of Mars in the second house suggests that assets may come through men or a particular male influence. Income for these individuals may also be derived through Mars-ruled enterprises such as manufacturing, sports, armed forces, fire fighting, and physical labor rather than mental endeavors. Mars represents animated life. Whether or not they are conscious of it, these individuals value energy and vitality as desirable assets and are attracted to these qualities in others. Unless others factors in their personality subdue the restless influence of Mars, they find it difficult to enjoy doing absolutely nothing. They want to spend their energies as easily as they spend their money.

HOUSE 3
The third house describes your mental state, intellectual orientation, self-expression and communication, early education, mechanical dexterity and skills, immediate environment (neighborhood), and siblings. It indicates physical actions, and transportation, especially within your immediate environment. To a certain extent the third house also describes the job or health of your father.

CAPRICORN on 3rd HOUSE
Capricorn ruling the third house indicates individuals whose learning processes or communicative skills may be limited or frustrated, or their education is limited. It implies the possibility of lack of imagination, reluctance of verbal expression, learning disabilities, and sight, hearing, or speech impediments. These individuals may view educational tasks as unpleasant or tedious, but later in life they may be more receptive, even eager, to learn and to communicate their thoughts and ideas. Another area influenced by Capricorn on the third house involves relationships with siblings. It can mean, for example, a great age difference between these individuals and their siblings and the relationships are necessarily limited by the generation gap, or it can mean they may have responsibility for a sibling. Another common occurrence under Capricorn's influence is an extremely close relationship with a sibling that fosters too much dependence in one or both of them. Relationships with neighbors may be restricted. The positive side of Capricorn’s influence implies long and stable relationships with neighbors and siblings, as well as talent and organizational ability in dealing with ideas and information.

SUN in 3rd HOUSE
Sun in the third house indicates those who assert themselves through their thoughts and ideas, though it does not necessarily mean that they seek a public forum in which to express themselves. Much depends on their individual personality and background. Some are content with merely keeping personal diaries. Others find adequate self-expression through artistic endeavors. The sun's influence in the third house indicates creativity and enthusiasm in communication, and, in some individuals, a definite tendency for theatrics and the use of hyperbole. Outgoing or introverted, they are all communication-oriented. Avid letter-writers, constantly on the telephone, or engaging in one meeting or another, these individuals are in continuous contact and interaction with others. They usually possess mechanical, design, or computer skills, as well as the enthusiasm to develop and use them.

SUN conjunct VENUS
These individuals usually possess natural charm and social ease. Their egos are tied into their relations and interactions with others. They need to be liked and seek a wide variety of social contacts. The negative side of this aspect includes those who are antisocial and shun the company of others, or become rude and hostile. They are susceptible to flattery and not above using it themselves with successful effect. They are apt to be attracted to art, music, and beauty in all forms. Unless there are negative factors in their personalities or backgrounds to discourage such traits, they have good humor and the ability to flirt without offense.

SUN conjunct MARS
These individuals are apt to have innately restless natures. This restlessness may be apparent in their constant competitiveness, inability to settle down, or tendency to practically kill themselves with overwork. There is a good bit of self-absorption and, though they may not be intentionally selfish, they can be careless about the feelings of others. They are apt to get caught up in a certain amount of possessiveness, jealousy, and quick anger, but these feelings may not last too long and they are nearly always generous enough to forget the grievance and quickly get on with other things.

SUN conjunct SATURN
Inhibitions these individuals feel as adults are likely to have been caused by austere or restricted childhoods. Whether they end up liking it or not, accepting it or rebelling against it, their success in life requires tradition and structure. They are usually very ambitious and strive for positions of authority. There is too much worry in some of these individuals, and they tend to be sober and inflexible, always sticking rigorously to the rules. It may be easier for them to accept the difficulties in life than to just relax and enjoy things, without constantly looking over their shoulders for trouble. On the positive side this aspect also signifies those of great character and strength, the people whom others come to admire and trust.

MERCURY in 3rd HOUSE
Mercury in the third house indicates those who are natural communicators. Since communication and transportation are the areas governed by the third house, Mercury’s influence here indicates writers, teachers, publishers, salespersons, secretaries, and those involved in community projects, mail delivery, telephones, or other businesses concerned with communication, transportation and travel. Other mental occupations such as design and engineering are also indicated. These individuals are apt to have above average mechanical and artistic skills. The negative potential of this Mercury house position includes the possibility of speech impediments, hearing loss, or learning disabilities. It can also indicate those who are very uncoordinated, accident prone, and who constantly have trouble with mechanical devices. Mercury’s influence implies constant contacts with siblings as well as with neighbors. These individuals seem to always know what's going on. They are apt to have a high degree of instinctual understanding. Not ESP exactly, but what may seem like ESP.

MERCURY conjunct JUPITER
Mercury conjunct Jupiter indicates those who may or may not seek to attain advanced degrees but sooner or later get caught up in expanding their consciousness and improving their intellectual horizons on some level. Their disposition toward communicating with others is generous, and they are happy to share ideas and information, though they may tend to attach too great of an importance to their own thoughts and opinions at times.

MERCURY square NEPTUNE
Mercury square Neptune indicates those likely to possess artistic talent and sensitive intellects. However, in trying to implement projects and schemes, they may have trouble being recognized for their contributions or ideas, or continually run into difficulty due to their lack of organization. They may adopt an unrealistic approach that makes it hard for others to implement their ideas on a practical level.

VENUS in 3rd HOUSE
Venus in the third house indicates those who are very communicative and social, especially within their immediate environment. They have good relations with neighbors and actively participate in community projects. They have close, or at least very cordial relationships with siblings, and there is apt to be much visiting back and forth. Negative factors in their personality or background indicate disputes and other disagreeable situations with neighbors or siblings. The influence of Venus in the third house suggests fondness for books, and many of these individuals possess extensive book collections. It also indicates involvement in art, music, sales, diplomacy, banking, law, public relations, counseling, beauty, cosmetics, fashion, interior design, jewelry, or flowers. These same areas may also represent their father’s employment. There is potential for partnership with a sibling, classmate, or neighbor.

VENUS conjunct MARS
Venus conjunct Mars indicates those with an aura of warmth and vitality that lies close to the surface. It is very attractive to others though they may not exactly realize what it is that makes these individuals so appealing. They are oriented toward careers or aggressively pursuing other important goals. As a rule they can usually be counted on to have an enthusiastic response to sexual encounters. This aspect also implies those with either talent for art or the appreciation of it.

VENUS conjunct SATURN
Venus conjunct Saturn indicates those whose enjoyment of many things may be restricted by poor health, debt, loneliness, or too many responsibilities. Romantic encounters are apt to be with those who are older or represent authority figures. Common sense and practicality dominate, making it hard for them to indulge in whimsy. On the positive side however, they are able to give structure and purpose to artistic endeavors, which is often the key to making such projects important and successful rather than merely frivolous or fanciful.

JUPITER in 3rd HOUSE
Jupiter in the third house indicates the likelihood of those who are very talkative. They are born communicators and salesmen. Though very anxious to learn, it doesn’t make them scholars. If they have trouble with school, it’s because they prefer to learn things on their own, going in whatever direction their interests and curiosity lead rather than plodding through repetitious lessons. They need to constantly expand their intellectual horizons, even if it is only by reading the daily newspaper. Jupiter in the third house implies mechanical ability, artistic skills, or writing talent. They and/or their father may work in sales, advertising, drama, dance, publishing, travel, promotion, politics, education, or religion. These individuals tend to get involved with community actions and projects. Jupiter's influence implies generosity to family members as well as to neighbors. Negative factors in their personality or background can mean inability to settle down, physical awkwardness (sometimes to the point of being accident prone), disorganization, procrastination, unwillingness to take responsibility, and tendency to shade the truth or exaggerate facts.

JUPITER square NEPTUNE
Jupiter square Neptune implies a generation with misplaced idealism, counterproductive sentimentality or out-and-out fraud. It is imagination no one quite knows how to handle. Pop art, plastic flowers, and erosion of traditional structures tends to make this generation unaware of what should be valued and what should be rejected. They think something is missing, but aren't quite sure what it is.

SATURN in 3rd HOUSE
For individuals with Saturn in the third house, the biggest lessons in life involve thinking, learning, communication, and the development or use of basic skills. Circumstances may prevent or greatly restrict their early education, or they may simply be uninterested students. Later in life, however, they are more receptive, even eager to learn and to communicate their thoughts and ideas. The negative potential of Saturn includes those with learning disabilities and sight, hearing, or speech impediments. It also suggests those who suffer from depression, or are overly cautious and pessimistic. Other areas of concern involve siblings, and there are several possibilities regarding them. These individuals may be deprived of such relationships by being an only child. A generation gap can limit contacts or understanding with much older siblings. They may have to assume responsibility for younger brothers and sisters. Relationships with neighbors and schoolmates can be stable and long-lasting, but loss of privacy or other burdens can sometimes complicate these associations. Travel may be restricted, or accommodations while traveling may be austere. Cars and other vehicles these individuals own may be few in number, and unlikely to be luxurious or impractical. Their vehicles may, however, give them many years of dependable service. Saturn suggests those with a stable, practical (if unimaginative) mind. They are able to present well-organized and structured ideas and information, and to develop and make good use of their skills. They can be the soul of authority, reliability, and strength to their family and neighbors.

It is also possible that their children (or lovers) may have remarkable artistic talent. They may suffer the loss of children, or have to assume responsibility for the adoption or care of children. There is danger of deception and loss in speculative ventures. Though it is also possible, if supported by other factors in their personalities and backgrounds, that they can develop valuable intuition in this area. It also indicates they may give more time and attention to thinking or talking about sexual matters than to physical participation. There may have to be mental as well as physical stimulation for these individuals to experience satisfactory sexual relations. Many of them can be secretive or engage in secret communications. They are apt to be quite brief and to the point. However when their interest is stimulated, they can engage in endless discussion and analysis, often exhausting the energies and informational resources of those around them.

MOON in 8th HOUSE
Moon in the eighth house indicates those who know exactly what they want, and go about satisfying their desires with remarkable tenacity. They are not apt to be glib or open concerning their emotional needs until what they want is in front of them, and then they may become very frank and explicit in expressing themselves. Others may find it difficult to fathom their true feelings because they so often appear emotionally self-contained or satisfied even when they are not. If supported by other factors in their personality and background, they are capable of being excellent researchers and investigators.     Moon square Pluto indicates those who may have the unfortunate habit of outsmarting themselves. They are apt to have analytical ability and keen perceptiveness but those traits can sometimes get in the way. Looking for hidden motives or continually thinking there may be something beyond the obvious may simply be a waste of their time. Revenge and possessiveness can threaten the happiness of relationships. Many of them have an instinctive understanding of power, where it is and who has it. Overcoming the need to possess power for themselves they can then set about to let it work for them indirectly, and in this way attain great success.

HOUSE 9
The ninth house describes higher education, advanced training, publishing, publicity, advertising, politics, foreign travel, foreign studies, religious and philosophical views and activities, and cultural pursuits. The emotional identification they develop is also likely to leave them vulnerable not only to the influence of others but to extremes in thinking and behavior with regard to these areas. It also suggests their mothers may be of foreign birth or of a different race or culture than their fathers.

They may, for example, be given special strength or assistance from this parent. Even in the case of loss or absence of the father, it does not have to be a negative factor since it can also have the effect of making them stronger and able to push forward. Other possibilities include the fact that they may have responsibility for their fathers or bear a close physical resemblance to him. The potential of Leo's influence suggests that they will seek to attain positions of great honor or authority, or lead public lives as actors, politicians, lecturers, and spokespersons. They may work for themselves or occupy an elevated position in the company that employs them. Many of these individuals find it difficult to remain content solely with home and family. Even those who lovingly (and efficiently) manage family responsibilities will also seek to accomplish their personal goals.

URANUS in 10th HOUSE
Uranus in the tenth house indicates those who may unexpectedly attract public attention. Noteworthy activities that bring these individuals into the spotlight are likely to be connected with some impact they make on society, which can mean anything from criminal acts to humanitarian projects. These individuals may also have unusual or unorthodox supervisors. One of the strongest implications of Uranus in the tenth house is that at some point, usually after they have embarked on a particular career or life style, they are apt to go off in a completely different direction. Even if they do not initiate such a switch, some momentous circumstance over which they have no control can turn their life around. The influence of Uranus also implies that their career or activities may be unorthodox, dealing with an unusual subject or requiring unusual skills. Those who follow a more traditional career are usually attracted to medicine, music, communication, teaching, social work, computers, or the media. These individuals may suddenly or unexpectedly be separated from their father, or he may be unusual or unorthodox in some way. They rebel against authority and restrictions. When it suits their long-range purpose, however, they happily embrace more traditional ideas and methods.

PLUTO in 10th HOUSE
Pluto in the tenth house indicates those who want to control their own destiny and as a result, are reluctant to allow anyone to assume power or influence over their decisions or the directions they take. It must be added however, that they may not develop this desire until later in life. If, for one reason or another, they do not develop control over their own life, it is likely to become a significant impediment to their ultimate growth and maturity. Other Pluto potentials include those who focus intense energy in pursuing a career or other long-range goals. Whether or not they gain power and status themselves, they seem able to attract the attention and association of those who do. By choice or circumstance there may be secrecy and hidden control or manipulation related to a parent (usually the father), their career, or the amount of public influence these individuals possess.

Their friends are apt to include those who are in the field of health and social services, as well as teachers, secretaries, clerks, writers, artists, designers, and those who are mechanically inclined. They will have more acquaintances than close friends, which may or may not have to do with the fact that many of their contacts are based on mental rapport or for practical purposes rather than emotional commitments. The negative potential of Virgo’s eleventh-house influence includes the possibility of being too critical of friends, being taken advantage of by friends, antisocial attitudes, and that they are too eccentric in their ideas or communication. The positive side of Virgo’s influence is the willingness to accept responsibility for friends.

HOUSE 12

This includes not just their own feelings but how they perceive or understand the feelings of others. They may, for example, have uncanny instincts concerning the subtle aspects of handling relationships that may not be obvious even to those with whom they share such relationships. The negative potential can mean disappointment or sorrow connected with relationships, and partnerships in particular. A lack of-self confidence can mean the tendency to like or even fall in love with anyone who pays them the slightest attention. Relationships can become a trap in other ways. They may become victims of those who threaten "suicide or worse", or, the reverse can also be true and they are the ones to use this destructive ploy in order to hold on to those who threaten to abandon them. The positive side of this influence is the possibility of artistic and musical talent. Their marriage partners may be employed in areas that involve the law, art, music, or the fashion or beauty industry.

NEPTUNE in 12th HOUSE
Neptune in the twelfth house indicates those with hidden vulnerability. They can be heavily influenced by dreams, feelings of guilt, and the past. Communication with their father may be disrupted from time to time by lack of awareness, fear, or misunderstanding. There is also the potential that their marriage partner may suffer from hypochondria and hard-to-diagnose illnesses. Their partner’s job may involve secret or illegal activities, naval or maritime industry, religion, photography, drugs, or charitable institutions. Positive influences of Neptune include those with remarkable intuition, artistic talent, sensitivity, vivid imagination, and spirituality. The ability to float in and out of reality makes these individuals masters of disguise.

NEPTUNE sextile PLUTO
Neptune sextile Pluto is an aspect of extremely long duration. The current sextile between these two planets has been affecting generations for the last forty years. This long term Neptune aspect influences on society represents constant opportunities to change the course of existing structures and pave the way for new ones. Those who will live under the influence of the other aspects (i. e. , conjunction, square, trine, and opposition) as they occur between these planets in the future will have to deal with the ideologies and other societal institutions that we have had the opportunities to create.
